54% of NZ children cannot swim up to 100m in a swimming pool
Can You Go The Distance?
Recent research has revealed that 54% of NZ children cannot swim up to 100m in a swimming pool (Moran).
It is widely agreed that 1km in the pool equates to roughly 100m in the ocean. Add some enviromental factors such as tide, current, water temperature, swell, fear and it's a lot less than 100m. So, how far can you swim?

"Oh my goodness, that Go The Distance was fantastic. We [parents] loved watching it, but our 6 and 8 year old girls had a blast. We believed in them but they came out buzzing about their own abilities and we could see the confidence boost it has been to them. Thank you Northern Arena, we are constantly amazed at your expertise."
